I've never run across a more inventive verb than "eau-du-cologning." So, when everyone else was focused on the smashing of guitars, swirling microphones and demolished hotel rooms, I always thought more of the Who as a "writer's band." Somewhat more akin to the "singer-songwriter" school of the time, albeit with quite a bit more punch.
Why should I care?...
